Frank Field - a big up

When you do not care much for politicians, of whatever stripe, it is easy to dismiss every politican as being a self absorbed waste of space and public money. 

But, at a time when we are devoting a disproprtionate amount of time to thrashing out the mind numbing intracacies of the "extra" 10% tax debacle, we might now wonder over what, as an alternative, would have made more sense ?  And then we are reminded that there is still at least one intelligent, thoughtful and sincere politican left; that being Frank Field MP.

We recall that, privately at least, his proposal last year for acceptable behaviour contracts was received favourably in some circles and, perhaps, on reflection, people should have been more vocal in their support at the time.
