BATR & let properties

A landlord who lets a commercial property for use by a third party tenant in its trade will, on disposal of the property, benefit from business asset taper relief from April 2000, where the tenant is an unlisted company and, from April 2004, where the tenant is an individual or partnership.

For ownership periods prior the respective dates, non business asset taper relief only will be due to the landlord.
